How to do Multiplayer?
Me and a friend got this game to play Multiplayer with each other, problem is, apparently you're able to just invite the friend you want to play with through steam, but that doesn't work for us. We've tried port forwarding, using Evolve, Hamachi, things around those lines. If anyone has a fix for this issue, it'd be much appreciated, as I don't want to refund the game just because we can't figure out the multiplayer.

1. What exactly happens on your end and your friend's end when you send the invite? Does he receive the invite and can accept it? Does he enter the lobby? Etc.
2. The developers are aware of several issues and are working on them (including the one I posted). I imagine they'll comment further but I believe an upcoming patch will fix your issue.

Hello FallenAlias!
So, a basic description of what you should do to play online is:
- The host chooses a Region (default:Americas) and clicks Host New Game
- Once the host is inside the Class Select screen, they will have their IP shown on the screen. They should then message this IP to the client that will join. An alternative to this is to use the Steam invite, that will replace the IP entering completely. The host will then just wait for other players to join.
- The client should choose the same region as the host. It should then type in the IP address exactly as it is shown to the host and click the Join button. After a few moments, the client will have joined the Class Select screen.

No port forwarding or Hamachi is necessary.

Important:
1) Make sure the client tries to join only after the Host has already entered the lobby (class select screen).
2) Make sure to type the IP exactly as it is shown to the host
3) Make sure the region of the Host and the Client are the same.
4) Steam invites are always preferred, since it guarantees the host is ready to receive, and it skips the IP entering.

As gamecreator mentioned, we are aware of some issues and will be releasing a patch next week, but the fixes target disconnects during gameplay. If you are having issues to connect to a friend, it would really help us to describe exactly the order that things happened, the messages you are seeing, etc. Also, if the connection fails, it helps us if you can submit a bug report by pressging B on your keyboard when you get the error message dialogue.
Thanks!

Well, for starters, both I and him have tried to host to play, and basically what happens is, we send the invite to the other person, then they accept. But instead of them joining it just says something around the lines of "Unable to connect", and the host doesn't see any notification of the person being unable to connect or anything.

And thanks to the dev for responding! Haven't seen many games where devs care enough to respond to their players, so thank you for that. We've done the things you mentioned on your post, and it still gives us the error. I feel like the problem is on our side because of that. We'll try to keep on doing some troubleshooting.

I am having this issue as well--joining with lobby number just gives us a "Could not join match" message, and trying to invite to steam doesn't exist--even when we both have the game open, it just says "invite to watch" or "remote play together" which is not the right option--we want to play multiplayer, not two people controlling one instance.
