Config files are dat files so can't manually change res.

What is the native resolution of your monitor?

If you have an Nvidia GPU, open NVCP,go to "Adjust Desktop Size and Position"

Set the scaling to override most programs, set it to "Aspect Ratio" and then set the scaling to be done on the GPU instead of your monitor

Thanks. I'm running an ATI so it's "Enable GPU Scaling" - it was ticked off so I'll reinstall and try again soon.

This probably fixed another problem or two I was having with Assassin's Creed opening FMVs blacked out.
