Is this worth playing just for the single player elements?
As the title says.
P.S.: still playing Magic 2014, never play online, still enjoy it

Depends what you call a singleplayer element. The best singleplayer elements are actually online. For example, there are player-created Realms, some of which are solid, that are only available online. (Just be sure to turn invasions off if you never want to see another live player.) The gold you earn in Realms play can then be used to buy/make gear in the online shop which you can use in all of the other online game modes. Personally, I quite enjoy Duels, So long as you have AI wizards toggled on as an option, then honestly you're just going to be playing the AI with the occasional live player... and you can mute them if you never want to chat such that they play generally as a smarter AI-controlled wizard. Also, the custom match options in online mode are much better than offline, as you can have more customized gear options and playing conditions. And if you don't like playing against other people in online modes mostly because you want to be able to wa;lk away from any game to tend to real life, then you can try your hand at asynchronous League matches in which you will have up to two days to complete each move when it is your turn to play.... and have up to a 100 or so of these matches going at a time. (Just be warned, that the asynchronous League players can be quite challenging... but all of them are fairly mature and polite... and none are really that chatty given the extended format.)

If you give it a go, keep in mind that Law mode and Chaos mode are quite different games. Law mode is deterministic. Chaos mode most closely conforms to the original gameplay. The latter is much more balanced than Law mode over the long haul. It's because of Chaos mode that I have 2,000+ hours in Steam hours alone in to this game.

Thanks for this thorough reply. This game is included in a bundle and I'm just trying to gauge if I wanna get it, because it looked like one of the more interesting ones in there.
