How can I select a specific Chamber?

Am I missing something or what? Everyone is talking about maps names but I can't switch to them or I don't even know the maps names. I can select Chapters by starting New Game but how can I select a chamber? Do I have to play all chapter again for reaching that chamber or what?

You can open the console by pressing Tilde (the ` button next to 1). From there, you can type map MAPNAME to open any level. For example; map sp_a1_garden is Chapter / Act 1 before the bed. ;)

[update] - Or start a new game, then use changelevel MAPNAME to load another map. This method allows achievements.

When you open the console, your current map name will also be written in the top right corner.

I've heard that using changelevel MAPNAME won't disable achievements and works the same as map.

This is correct! changelevel requires that you are already in-game though, so it won't work from the main menu.

I'm trying to get the determined achievement in a4_factory, but the changelevel command broke the test chamber so I can't do it. Doors are missing, buttons are missing, cube dispenser is missing...what the hell?!

I had this problem. I even fcuking tried to solve it because I didnt remember but there was no way lol.
Just reloading worked for me.
