Are we going to finally admit this game is a success or we going to continue to move the goal posts again?

Prince of persia lost crown, their AAAA pirate game,Star Wars outlaws were flops.

They also had "development hell" games that drain their money even further.(Splinter Cell remake, Prince of persia remake, Beyond good and evil 2)

In some ways, ubisoft is now kinda similar to how Midway was in 2005-2008.(A company that only it's Mortal Kombat games were successful and all their other games were flops which resulted in them going bankrupt in 2008)
Wasn't there a rumor that a developer stated that if Shadows is not a big hit, they would be in big trouble? That would confirm that Shadows is not a big hit.

They haven't even had a success yet in recent memory.

Can't deny that game mega success 💫

They've moved on as there's nothing new to report on. The only ones left talking about this game in social/media are the ones giving medals to themselves for arbitrary milestones that don't translate to financial success.

The anti-wokies here are seething LOL. AC Shadows has been a major hit on consoles and isn't doing too shabby on PC. Gotta move the goalposts yet again lol.

This is pathetic. Everything is fake guys and gals. Fake sales, Fake reviews.....am I even real?

You simply reposted what someone said. Ubisoft wanted Steam to hide the numbers sold and playing. I wonder why. You claim something, prove it instead of reposting.

We know all the data surrounding this, including how many players still play on Steam now, physical sales in Japan(very low interest), the general reception of the game, Tencent buying into Ubisoft for cheap..Goalposts are not really moving, but more context is building against Ubisoft. Unless you know something we don't? Go ahead. Post the data.

You can't win your arguments on smoke and mirrors? Welcome to reality.

1 - Initial release data. Sales and revenue continue to exceed expectations
"Though no specific sales numbers have been revealed for the game, a source within Ubisoft has confirmed to Variety that “Shadows” had the next-best Day 1 sales revenue for an “Assassin’s Creed” title behind only “Valhalla.” The title also marks Ubisoft’s best Day 1 launch of any game on the PlayStation digital store.

Out of the total activations, PC activations account for around 27% of total activations, with Steam “playing a significant role” in that figure. On the gaming platform, “Shadows” has already surpassed “Odyssey’s” “all-time peak” stat for concurrent users.

2 -Steam Revenue calculator (not sure if this includes all platforms ?)
Odyssey made $414,768,940.32in gross revenue since its release. Out of this, the developer had an estimated net revenue of $122,356,837.39.
https://steam-revenue-calculator.com/app/812140/assassin's-creed(r)-odyssey

3 -Share price fall
A- Minority S/Hs want a 100% sale of the 3 IPs
Renegotiate the Tencent Deal – This transaction must be restructured into a direct asset sale to Tencent for no less than €4 billion, the valuation already accepted by both Tencent and Ubisoft’s board. At the moment, shareholders have no clarity how the deal that was announced last week will eventually benefit shareholders of Ubisoft.

B- They want proceeds of the sale to go to them

Distribute an Extraordinary Dividend – Following the sale, Ubisoft shall return €23 per share in cash to shareholders (totalling €3 billion), while preserving €1 billion to cover remaining corporate net debt.

The 25% deal is not attractive to potential investors because they simply get nothing out of it.
Large hedge fund investors have been selling stock due to Ubisoft proposing to only allocate 500 mill to existing 1bill debt.

It is a matter of investors being snubbed by the 25% deal

C - "U.S. hedge funds are shorting the stock given Ubisoft will pay down only 500 million euros of debt in the deal.

Ubisoft currently has about 1.1 bill debt

The deal with tencent for 25% of the new entity will raiser about 1.25bill

Ubisoft have only agreed with to reduce debt by 500 million
They are acting in their own interests, not those of creditors or investors

"Should the deal close by the end of 2025, the group’s debt situation will become much more comfortable"

... And? AC's always been primarily a console game rather than a PC game. That's still better than literally every other AC game ever did on Steam.
This always comes up in these discussions and it really makes me wonder how does that work exactly, are people buying a Playstation just to play Assassin's Creed? Or are there even games that are not released on consol nowadays to make them rather a PC game? I honestly dont get it.
Is it true that if Ubi doesnt make a good profit off of this game, that their studio is in serious, existential trouble? And they bet it all, on this game? If they didnt make the profit needed to stay afloat, have they considered player retention?

nope.. making stuff up again in your head again

The Deal with Tencent had nothing to do with AC Shadows. (it was already a sure thing long before Shadows was even released. Some people are merely trying to twist everything to fit their narrative.

It is simply what some are claiming because they are running out of excuses, and they know deep down the game is a huge success

no, they have moved on because the crusade has failed once more, and this is always what happens whenever a game gets released and is very popular/successful.

The Crusaders try to spread their anti-woke nonsense and the people who enjoy the game mock them and laugh at them, rightfully so. Nobody that already wasnt a crusader actually ever cares about the anti-woke nonsense, Crusaders get bored, and run out of patience or energy to fight because they are vastly out numbered.

And honestly, a lot of unknowners get confused by all the attention and than get driven towards the game out of curiosity.

Once they realize how silly the crusade is , many will now get the game because they cant see the BS the crusaders are clamoring on about, and all they see is an amazingly good game being trolled on by weird and strange people

That's a cope. AC was never console game. If anything I would get that people buy AC thro Ubisoft connect, rather than Steam.

The goal post hasn't budged, we've been asking for sales numbers since day one.

Where are the profits?

Looking at available data. We have "PS 1.2 million, Steam 367.8K" that was 10 days ago. We can't know numbers for xbox. Also, the main problem is, Ubisoft is unwilling to release the real numbers. Their fake reports are a way for them to try and save the company that was bleeding money on stock horribly until a few days ago. Also, it was proven by now that whatever PS numbers release..those are at least partially fake. Only Steam reports accurately.

That's all very well, and you could be right, but I'm not playing on Steam as I bought this on Ubisoft Connect and I'm not sure the numbers are reported on that platform.

Nobody has them. Nobody can prove what they said. That's why I can't stand these people. It's blind faith in a company. They could be right. They could be wrong. But if your gonna make a claim and insult, you better have backup.

Or blind hating. Both groups deserve each other.

There are no sales numbers. It's not really blind hating. Ubisoft is intentionally hiding the sales. Though that group can get dumb, it's not as bad as the other. Ignorance isn't bliss.
