You see, Shift-Up doesn't have hundreds of consultants and managers interfering with their projects, which also means they don't have to pay a ton of useless people obscenely high salaries, while the developers get only peanuts.
Shift-Up gave everyone a massive bonus, and bought all their staff PS5 Pro's.
Contrast that with how overburdened Ubisoft is, this is why the game isn't a success, because the cost of development was SO high, that they can't even break even, with all the consultancy groups they have to pay, and all the managerial staff who get paid more than the people who actually do the work.
So do you think a single product actually has that much of an effect on stock prices compared to an entire world of other influencing factors?
...or that stock prices somehow directly reflect the actual reality of whats going on with a single product from a massive production studio?
That's hilarious either way.
Oh wait ..could it be something even more ridiculous?
Please reveal how silly this gonna get bruh... lets do this..
How long can a company go, launching title after title at this scale, without making any profit?
Did smart thing and took L in hiding.
Can't deny that game mega success 💫
All of that upkeep in the first 2 years makes complete sense. It also explains their dependence on MTX and DLC
Show me how much the game cost to develop and market, and then show me how much the sales are worth.....
..... then we can talk.
Ubisoft stock teeters on the brink of destruction.
Ubisoft tries to steal its own most valuable IP from its investors by forming another company with Tencent.
Go woke, go broke. And then go to prison.
Remember when the woke tried to cancel Hogwarts legacy and all of them fell on their faces ?
And now, it's anti-wokes turn to become a joke.
One side complains about long running franchise turning into woke garbage, while the other side issues death threats, puts bounties on people's heads, fire bombs dealerships and charging stations, tries to assassinate politicians, terrorizes people in the streets with unprovoked violence.
Totally equally bad, both sides.
Development costs money, so does advertising, that money has to be recouped to break even, and they must exceed past that in order to make a profit.
Their stocks aren't plummeting for no reason. Investors are very angry right now for good reason.
Prince of persia lost crown, their AAAA pirate game,Star Wars outlaws were flops.
They also had "development hell" games that drain their money even further.(Splinter Cell remake, Prince of persia remake, Beyond good and evil 2)
In some ways, ubisoft is now kinda similar to how Midway was in 2005-2008.(A company that only it's Mortal Kombat games were successful and all their other games were flops which resulted in them going bankrupt in 2008)
