The outrage from Japan was not about Yasuke exactly, some of the things that surrounded him like his relationship with lady Oichi, did but it was not Yasuke himself. The outrage was about shrine destruction, and how it portrayed certain Japanese figures like lady Oichi who are still revered and taught about in Japan till this day.

Many Japanese series have used Yasuke as a samurai, and they were fictional, they weren't trying to rewrite history like Ubisoft was when they claimed this was accurate. They then backpedalled after they got hate for it and went back to the usual historical fiction.

That's what the world needs another adaption of Snow White. We all know how this turns out. I guess if you enjoy wasting hundreds of millions of dollars trying to bring your woke fantasies to life, go for it.
