So how does one actually run this game without having Ubisoft Connect installed and running like they promised.

All this game has is u dont need to actually install the full launcher as the launcher is embedded in the game filed u download when u install the game, u cant outright not use the launcher tho

It literally telling me the full application isn't installed and I need to download it.

Ubisoft said themselves you wouldn't need the stand alone app downloaded and installed. The game is specifically asking me for that.

animus this time is just the cash shop in game, they 100% need it in the game so they don't have to pay steam 30% when you buy any in game currency.
