Just watch YT or Twitch and make an informed decision. Don't take the Steam Community's option, most are trolls who don't own the game. I don't either and after Valhalla I stepped away from Assassin's Creed for good.

but i would say get it a few month later, with discount & some mods. it will be nice.

This. I own it on connect and think the game is really good, it has some issues but that's just my opinion.

No not even close it is the same game you've played the last 3 times, but with devs that tried to re write history outside of the game. Was yasuke real? yes. Was he who the devs tried to say he was in real life? not even close. They tried to push a narrative that they didn't include or took out of the game. Tells you all you need to know. Worth playing? sure if it comes to a sub service. Worth buying for 70 dollars? not even close. not even worth 60.. or 50 for that matter.

I stopped playing and refunded GoT after the prologue, since it's world felt very (literally) plastic and dead. It reminded me of Horizon's games.
In contrast, in AC Shadows I wanted the prologue to finish, so I could finally have more freedom to explore the world.
Might be a unique opinion though and due to me playing with Japanese VO, disabling all HUD, map markers, visual indicators (modded) and not using x-ray vision.

imo, the world design, looks beautiful and amazing, the combat / parkour / stealth is pretty good
but the voice lines, emotions from the character models are trash, looks like AI (Robot) made it.. with no real human emotions.
