Disrespect Japanese Culture!
After reading threads on Twitter/X about this game I decided not to buy this game!
Disrespecting any countries culture is not the way of wanting people to buy this game.

I remember like 1-2 years ago when Ubisoft let talk the female japanese historian they used as source for this game ..
She was born in US, studied in US, lives in US, the only ♥♥♥ thing about her were her parents.
Instead of talking about her sources and the game, she was talking about her hobby in hardcore oldje man-boy "corn" .. yet she claims she is feminist, hates men etc .. and Ubisoft gave her the spotlight and let her talk and they did nothing.

Not like the state of the game is that actually surprising ..
The disrespect was there since the beginning, like creating a scene with Oichi who was loyal and died with her husband, yet in the game she is just for the streets ..
Pretty insane

Burden of proof is on the person making the claim, so put it up or pipe down.

''i mean just goto japan and prove me wrong... but we both know you dont go anywhere lol or do anything meaninful ''

seems like an insult to me?

'' japanese twitter x will prove you wrong lol but we both know you cant do anything for yourself neither.. ''

this too. although, telling me to actually rely on twitter for a source is hillarious.

It doesn't disrespect Japanese culture, it honors it. It's a top seller in Japan. Also gamers do not like snowflakes who get offended and easily triggered.
prime minister of japan disagrees :Rubber_Duck: they literally went to court about the disrespect on their culture
Yes because Raiding Ancient Egypt Tombs is perfectly fine but once its Japan its bad.

Both sides of this argument are incredibly misinformed and/or disingenuous. Keep fighting! It's hilarious.

It's funny how white knights of this game accuse the haters of not caring about Japanese culture before this game came out. When in fact it is the defenders that most likely didn't even give a crap about the culture, they are just defending the game and calling anyone with different opinions racist because there happens to be a black man as a playable character and the defenders will attach to that character to victimize themselves, even though said defenders are oftentimes whiter than sheep.

I feel like yasuke was added not because they respect the history behind it (said history was infact fabricated by Thomas lockley, Yasuke is more of a footnote than a historical figure) but so they can fill a diversity quota, and characters that are often part of diversity quotas are badly written and are often offensive. Look at red dead redemption2 , there's a colorful cast of characters in the van der lynde gang of many racial backgrounds and they are written very well. Rockstar does it right, they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about DEI and because of that, they have created a bunch of memorable, extremely likable characters. Assassins creed: shadows fails in this regard.

The fact that I asked him to prove it, and he still has not provided any proof what so ever about this court thing really should tell people that the person is making up BS.

From your reply, I can only tell you only read the first sentence, which means you have poor arguing skills and are most likely a weeb defending the game cause "muh Japan", which is ironic due to how offensive the game actually is. therefor there is nothing to be gained from enabling you by trying to argue with you, good day :sunglassesDoge:

so why did ubisoft remove and change many things before release?
they disrespected a monument in Japan and Ubisoft changed it on their vinyl toy things

japan isnt bolivia, they are samurais, u best beleive many have that samurai heart from their ancestors
