Call me stupid but, what's a false positive virus detection?
Cool, so sounds like I should be ok to ignore then. It is a genuine purchase from Ubisoft, so shouldn't have any issue. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
I have no problems with Norton anti-virus. It has kept my PCs clean for many, many years. Never had any virus issues ever. I'll stick with it, thank you.
Norton is legit garbage and over the years, I've seen it cause far, far more problems than I've ever seen it prevent. My personal favorite was when it started just full on killing optical drive functionality in systems for seemingly no reason at random, which was fixable with just a few registry edits. Easy for someone who knows their way around regedit, basically impossible for the average user.
These days, you are far, far better off getting rid of Norton entirely and running with just Windows Defender (which has actually gotten surprisingly competent in recent years) and the occasional Malwarebytes scan if something does start acting up.
This made me LOL so much....
A truer truth has never been typed.
