they been doing it since IGN invented online ratings. it has nothing to do with success.

You'd need to compare it to its peers for that.

The negative reviews are the same. Everyone is posting a review just to beat each other out. Regardless the game is FLAMES!🔥

Early user reviews of the game when it hasn't even been out for 48 hours are useless. It is better to wait a week at minimum to get accurate user reviews. Especially with how Ubisoft likes to pad the gameplay with red herring fluff content.

Also level 0 account trying to tout victory on user reviews is very suspicious.

its less about the percent and more about how many people have reviewed and how many are playing.
so in a sense this game has flopped atleast on steam i.e looking at the stats on stamdb
aka People who aint interested in this game will simple wont buy it

won what? an AC game with 38k players on launch day is crazy bad. Dragon Age had 60k peak and almost bankrupt Bioware...

I can not confirm this but I heard it had 300-350M budget, if that is true these numbers are quite abysmal.

why are you acting like 90% of game sales are not on Ubisoft launcher?
I wonder how many units they would need to sell at 90% off to make up for the budget of the game...

A percentage means nothing without context.

If the majority of AC fans skip on this game knowing what it has to offer and don't like it, leaving only the modern audience to play it, of course it'll score a high percentage, but the number of reviews will be far from what it would have been if the game would have been liked by the general audience.

If you have 10 fresh bananas, but 8 aren't ripe yet, 20% of the bananas are good.
If you remove the 8 unripe bananas and then you have 2 ripe ones remaining, then 100% are good.

100% looks good on paper, but you only have 2 bananas this way too.
20% looks bad, but you still only have 2 ripe bananas as well.

In which case with the example above, the percentage tells you nothing alone.

And knowing the publicity of this game in the community, those who buy it already have expectations and if they too give a negative review, think of all the negative reviews from people who are holding off.
