That's absolutely true, so we will see. We'll probably have a clearer picture by the end of the week-weekend.
By that time the vast majority of people already moved on.
It may not be the best selling AC game ever, but it certainly doesn't look like a disaster.
Microsofts Game Pass has 34 million subscribers.
In the case of Avowed, it did well enough that they're working on a large DLC expansion.
Currently Shadows has launched at number 3 of all time for AC games on Steam.
If the other games sold well enough to warrant continuing the series at those Steam Player numbers, we can assume that the sales were decent for AC and also that Steam is not their primary platform. Console is more likely the place most AC players play.
In terms of games Steam Player count is useful for games where PC can be expected to be the largest audience, or a game is so massive it will do well on all platforms.
AC Shadows has already, by player count, made comparative numbers to its predecessors. Whether or not it is a major success, it is already not a failure.
Killer comment right here. see how nobody will refute any it and either ignore or come with low effort troll replies
I wonder how many copies were sold to reach second place in the top 100 list yesterday...
