The 30 fps cutscenes, and the music. The music is a crime against humanity. I don't know what they were even thinking, aside from "Afro Samurai".
Some of it is fine, like the main menu music and what plays most of the time.. but then you get random techno-whatever garbage that starts playing in fights or cutscenes and it's just like.. wtf? It completely ruins the experience.
If it's not SILENT like real life then it MUST be awful.
Also it's the AC sound. It's a franchise thing. You can't hate it in one game and accept it in others. I wish more of it was composed by Jesper Kyd, but oh well.
I've been wondering if they weren't able to make nice combat music using traditional Japanese instruments and sounds or why they went with this modern music. No other AC game has ever done this, at least they usually try and make it sound like the time period. Whoever was in charge of music should probably not be in charge on music going forward
it all just feels like a parody, or a college project. like fantasy perhaps. trying to think of a word
"The word you're looking for is "shamilt", but that doesn't seem like a real word. A likely intended word is "shi.tpost", which refers to content that is deliberately low-effort, absurd, or nonsensical—often in an ironic or humorous way, like a parody or something that feels amateurish, much like a college project.
Does that fit what you're thinking of?"
