They are trying
Ubisoft did a lot of stupid things in the past, no steam release, no achievements, bad games etc. but in this game… they are really trying to stand again. They release the game in steam, have steam achievements, the game story is good! ( I’m impressed by this). Maybe Ubisoft is learning from their mistakes. Give them a chance, the game is really impressive.

So far is really impressive, dialogue, script, voice etc. when I played Viking and odyssey the dialogue was atrocious, the script was bad. In this game, is totally different. The only way you are going to know that is playing the game.

Sure, they are trying to cause a diplomatic insult to Japan.

Also my guy you are 2.1 hours into the game and you are saying the game's story is good.

Yeah people dont understand that dev's jobs are at stake here. Also if it doent sell enough, do you think they will keep making AC games, if they're bought by the chinese or something?

I really don’t care about dev jobs, they did a lot of mistake and NOW they are trying to save the company and franchise. I understand those that don’t want to buy the game. Is really sad, because Ubisoft as a company have a lot of potential

I've seen enough gameplay clips to know that this is a bald faced lie lol.

Wrong

It's like not studying the whole semester, and now they are trying to get a passing grade...
Ubisoft has had a LOT of chances over the past decade. Time and time again they fumble with their games or when they open their mouth, like how people won't be able to play old titles eventually.

This game is regarded as their last chance and judging from the numbers it's not looking good depending on where their expectations were to save the company. Small studios die all the time and every now and then a large one falls, nature of the beast when you put out mediocre copy/paste content for decades without bringing any new IP.

If the dev suck at their job, then they don't deserve the job do they now? It's like saying "the pilot might have crashed every plane he has flied, but his job is at stake so we won't fire him".
GTFO

Let’s be real, Ubisoft depends from console sales

Given that it's the same sterile formula from the last 3 titles, id say they don't really try anymore

Edit: Also the majority of the devs that made this had never worked on an AC game before so there's that too

They are basically floating in a raft using the Ubisoft+ and Siege subscription to stay afloat at this point. I'd be really surprised if they break even on sales to recoup the development on Shadows this year, cause this thing has to have like 300 million plus spent on it since there's 17 whopping studios that worked on this

Yeah, they are trying in every way to provoke a new pearl harbor in France.

You need to play the game first and then your are going to know if the story is good or bad.

I watched it on YT, I don't want to waste my money on this garbage. Story and dialogs are like they took directly from ChatGPT
