Let me be clear:
- you can like and enjoy the dark soul control scheme where your light/heavy attacks are bound to rb/rt, and this is fine.
- customizing the controls in the menu leads to a ton of conflicts. If you set your light/heavy attack to x/y, then you need to remap your crouch button. So, of course, you're going to remap that to rb, because it kind of make sense since you just switched rb/x for light attack. But then rb is also used for the special attack wheel. So when you're going to use a special attack, your character will crouch ? So crouch can't be rb.
Still need to find a decent control scheme that use x/y for light/heavy attacks...
Im gonna try remaping using the Xbox accessories hope it works
you can use the one from Steam aswell. You can even up- and download schemes (kinda doubt they're already some to download)
X: light attack
Y: heavy attack
X: assassinate
L: parkour up
A: crouch
A(hold): prone
RB: primary interaction
No other changes, ignore the warnings.
This might work because RB/RT are not used by any hold command, leaving them available for the special actions menus. Other commands with "conflicts" happen in different situations that mutually exclude each other.
The "weird" thing to get used to is parkour up, but it feels somewhat ok so far.
There's a workaround for the RB bug here.
And the assassinations should be on Y. Odyssey and Origins have the best layout.
