Now all of a sudden they're like this is the best AC ever made.
u mean to tell me they fixed the game in just a few weeks???

if only Ubisoft spent money developing games as much as they spend on Youtubers, they wouldn't be at the edge of bankruptcy

Ubi literally paid and gave so many big Twitch people game for free to stream. now 300k on twitch watching it . so far i see game isnt bad but i know it same ubi formula cant be excited . its just boring

Why should they hate the game? More importantly why should you? At its surface this is an Assassin's Creed game. Do you hate Assassins Creed games, or have you been told to hate Ubisoft Games?

There's really 2 kinds of people. Those who enjoy Assassin's Creed games, and those who do not. Whether Shadows is a great Assassin's Creed game or a bad one is going to be subjective, just how I think Valhalla was a great one. In the end, Assassin's Creed is Assassin's Creed.

I thought Valhalla was a good game too, a bit long but it was fun.

I've always had issues with the combat system, it has never been rewarding and kinda dull.

Between Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, and Mirage, I think Valhalla had the most fun combat.

Going to Mirage after Valhalla, the combat was a huge letdown.

For months you had it your way. YouTubers were bashing the game, but all they were really doing is spreading lies.

Gameplay microtransactions are always a dealbreaker for me at full price. And I always find it disappointing that people support these practices by proxy instead of having higher standards. I've maintained this stance all the way back with EA's Battlefront 2 and Shadow of War, and that's never going to change, no matter how good the game could be.

Support Split Fiction instead; fantastically inventive game, super well optimized with no bugs to speak of, a very reasonable price, a friend can play with you for free, the list of praise I could give it would keep going on and on. While Shadows is £20 more expensive than that, and still has the gall to ask for more via microtransactions. Shamelessly greedy.

maybe, just maybe the games pretty good? and all the hate from people who are jumping on hate trains for every game they can , were..... wrong? just like they were with avowed and indiana jones, the list goes on.

Shadows looks good , the only negative i've really heard is the main story is boring but the side content / combat / stealth are really fun.

It's just a business practice, a scummy one but also not really. They're giving a £70 game away for free and send the streamers a smushy message, so they fall for it and feel they need to be nice about it. It's kind of a very loose form of manipulation, although I agree manipulation is a bit of a strong word.

If they're bribing people for good reviews, then that is very shoddy business practice and shameful, and also shameful for the streamers who've sold their souls, however to my knowledge they just give the game away and it's free advertising. That being said, I know a good streamer who's usually got at least 2k viewers (she's not massive), but only about 30 people were watching it, and most of them were taking the p*ss out of it so.. Literally more people tuned in to her streaming the PS1 Rugrats game.

Tbh I lost interest in AC ages ago so idc either way. If it sells, it sells. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Won't change our lives. Last good one was Syndicate. Odyssey was good too but, let's be honest, that's mainly because it was basically a Witcher 3 clone. Still, it was playable and I liked the girl in it.
