I think most people want more refined additions, it might feel to much as a "here is something extra" without the quality really being there.
One thing that might be a issue for some is the live-service additions in this game, it seems weird (to me) when SP games have daily quest.
Thus its great to have as much information as possible

People subscribe to them for honest reviews, not just purile hate or bought and paid for content like the critics
There is no such thing as "honest" reviews.
Everybody is biased in some way or another (myself included) the main take is, that even when people are biased, you can still see gameplay and understand the strong points and weak points of a game.
Ie. most agree (no matter if they are positive, mixed or negative about the game) that gameplay is somewhat simplistic, but very fun "all agree that gameplay is what to expect from AC !!)
They almost all also agree that the story, character interactions and agency is subpar (no surprise tbh)
So all the reviews are just the same in many ways, some people don´t care about story, some people care a lot and depending on your bias, you will get different conclusions..
But somewhat objectively (we can never be fully objectively) its safe to say, that the combat is fun, the open world is okish and the story is not good.... that is pretty much the take.
Its all subjective ofc. It will be interesting to see the player counts for this one.
I'm surprised by that, from what I watched so far the combat looks mid compared to games this would compete with. Not that it's all bad, I love the animations when you finish off an enemy, Ubisoft did great with that at least.
At any rate I'm sure the game will sell well, it's an Assassins creed game set in Japan, it would need to be like a 5/10 or worse not to sell and I give this game at least a 7 from what I seen.
its all subjective. Many mainstream games are pretty mid overall in my opinion, but still fun and that is what many just want... unwind at home, escape reality.
Thanks but they all have been paid by the devs, right ? So their opinions cannot be taken serioulsy. Only the weak will check these
There are lots of different reviews out, some are positive, some mixed, some negatives..
I understand why nobody take IGN or Gamespot as crediable (with the scandal cases) but overall most seem to give good points on why they like, dislike stuff in the game.
I understand. But its all subjective, sure we can try to be objective, but we are all biased.. Most of the reviews does seem to agree on certain things.
-Combat is simplistic but fun
-Story/character interactions are awful
-Soundtrack ranges from abysmal to great.
-Graphics look great for an AC game
-Naoe is awesome, Yasuke seems misplaced (due to combat skills, like he is there if you wanna go full tank and slaughter style, but its introduced to late)
