While Mort's personal GOTY was in fact Veilguard, hes putting Shadows as a "Do Not Recommend" so that should tell you a lot

Well most things are indeed subjective anyway.
I don´t understand those that make it up to be black and white however, you see threads trying to argue all is paid for and vice versa..

At the end of the day, it seems like with most games now a days, that people are split, but most agree that its a fun game overall.

Thats on the critic side. Veilguard also is sitting at an 82 on the critic side so probably not a good metric to use

Why do you think these are paid? Most of the gaming YT reviewers aren't sponsored by publishers, and their thoughts are about the same as the big gaming media publications.

Comments seem pretty consistent too -- world is fun, less filler content this time, with the main criticism being that Yasuke's combat is not very good.

The ridiculousness of having denuvo implies it's a game worth pirating.

Well obviously.
We can´t deduct anything before we start to see userscores.

But I would go as far to say, that this game will be much more popular than Veilguard, mainly because it looks like a better game and sticks to its core.. (unlike Veilguard)
I will still be most popular on console ofc.

It is rather mixed tbh. So I don´t really think that is the case with most of them. Sure I understand why you link that to IGN and Gamespot (we all understand the two scandals with those sites) but you have plenty of mixed reviews in this list.

The vast majority understand that the game have a mixed reception so far.
It make sense. I am sure that people that liked Valhalla will also like this game.

High hopes I guess for an MC score of 90+ for an AC game these days, it could be fun though.

There's a few games coming out that I want to play before it anyway, let's see how it goes.
