Remove ubi launcher is great but what about steam cloud in this situation?

Anyone know if this will be available?

As in Steam's cloud saves? They'll work just fine. Or at least they should. AFAIK, Star Wars Outlaws is the only Ubisoft game that doesn't use Steam Cloud Saves. But I blame that on Massive Entertainment being unable to make games.

All Ubisoft games do not use steam cloud , they use Ubisoft cloud and AC shadows will be no different.
And reason for that is own DLCs for U-credits, and cross platform save support.

AC:S still uses ubi launcher and ubi cloud saves, not sure if Steam cloud works additionally. But AC:S installs with a "lite" version of the launcher, whatever that means.

lite version means you dont need the ubi client itself anymore, you just need to log-in in the game and its use the steam "ubi-launcher"-api.
Probably even remembers you login for every upcoming ubisoft game, which seems to be neat.
while i understand, complety without would even better, but not having this useless client on the PC anymore is a nice step in the right direction.
(Rockstar should to the same).
