I ordered this via ubisoft connect but the voice cast sounds bad.

I have this on ubisofts app and very much looking forward to it. The whole gameplay actually stands out for me more than the characters which is a real shame. AC for me was always about building character, and being said character, but the more I listen to the voice acting the more it gets daunting. It's very bad compared to previous entries.

I may have to give it time especially when it comes to emotional scenes, but I can see this .. so far being the worst voiced AC game.

Yeah it seems odd. I like Yasuke but not big on Naoe EN.

I do know the game can be played in Japanese... its called "immersive mode" or something corpo like that lmao

Kinda gonna hijack your thread a bit, can the combat bgm be changed ? That sh!t is trash

Were you listening to the dub or the original? Because I think people are saying that the Japanese audio is better

The dub was what I was listening too. Sadly, I'm a dub guy haha. I watch all my anime in dub, don't hate me lol.

But yeah, the english dub seems very bad. I just hope we see a better performance than the trailers show.

Yes! Exactly this. .. it's more Naoe's voice than Yasuke. It to me seem's very bland. Though as I said, seeing some emotional scenes might change my mind. But the trailers aren't doing it justice.

As for the music.. not a fan. I always turn off music myself in games to immerse myself into the game. Unless its final fantasy lol.

From what I've heard so far, it's off. Nothing magical.

However, most of the story and characters you know nothing about. The best ones you haven't heard at all.

You remember voice actors like James Clyde in Witcher III playing Phillip Strenger because it was more than memorable. It stood out because it was top notch. And he wasn't the lead actor.

Most games have that. Those one or two gems that stand tall above the rest. I didn't care for Witcher III, but like every video game, you remember the little things that they do well.
