I’m seriously baffled by the backlash against Assassin's Creed Shadows! We’re talking about an incredible combat system that looks both thrilling and innovative, but some folks act like that doesn’t matter.

And a Japanese setting? That’s a breathtaking choice that adds so much depth to the series! Imagine the amount of cool skins and DLC we will be able to buy! Yet, instead of celebrating the rich cultural backdrop, all I see is criticism. It’s ridiculous!

Now, let's talk about our protagonists—a Black character and a woman. Why is it a problem to have diverse representation? This is about storytelling and broadening perspectives, which enriches the entire gaming experience! Nowdays embracing diversity is not just good, it’s essential, let’s not delude ourselves with regressive thinking!

It’s time to stop the hate and appreciate the progress in gaming! Assasin's Creed Shadows is shaping up to be a phenomenal installment, and we should support it rather than tear it down! This game deserves our exitement, not baseless attacks!

cuz Ubiconnect is the main platform? It has always been this way for Ubisoft and EA games. There are no steamkeys for EA games either.

It's not a matter of hate. That's simply the label that people such as yourself have to put on things to promote victim mentality as a means to shame others to feel bad about their freedom of preference. Actual hate lives in the extremes for sure but those extremists are few.

It's also a word you like to use to have people ignore the very clear triggers to their pattern recognition, a pattern people who are ideologically aligned with DEI created by forcing it into every media type that people consume. The problem of course is that identity is too weak of a subject to carry anything and thus makes everything it touches terrible particularly when it's self inserted since it's a story of life experiences through the eyes of someone that has none.

The better question is, why is it a problem to promote realistic societal realities? Why are white people who are the majority in the US, problematic for their natural representation in any given entertainment medium? Why are men, who are naturally and biologically superior in masculinity being that they produce 10 times the testosterone and are built to be physically more powerful, required to take a back seat to women? Who, by the way, are biologically not as powerful but yet depicted so in games which you want to promote and force people to suspend disbelief as if the exception in women (which even the exception is a poor substitute for the same exception in males) is the rule.

Basically you want people to ignore reality when you want them to with the excuse of "It's a game" while at the same time wanting people to accept reality that diversity exists among other things. So which is it? The answer is that people like yourself want to be the arbiter of what the rules are as to what should and should not be accepted. There's a word for people who want to control others.

$100 Million for the budget on making this game and from the trailers they shown us personally i think even the games released from 10 years ago with an even smaller budget was better

the japanese setting was fine and all but they put on their advertisement as "historically accurate" pulls out possible destroying of shrines, umbrellas vendors all over the streets on a time period where people steals umbrellas on a daily, stylish kimonos for the lower class instead of plain, now lets not talk about the seasons mixing in spring, summer, and autumn and most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing they do in the game, THEY DISRESPECT THE RICE. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who puts rice field right next of the river?? DO YOU WANNA STARVE?? its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ japan, they face tsunamis and storms almost every year
