No Ubisoft Launcher in Steam version!!!

On second read through it looks like there is some version of a "Lite" launcher that requires you to link your steam and Ubisoft accounts, but hey still better than the whole launcher

Yeah, I've been playing Origins and Odyssey again recently and if you haven't used the new lite one like I did all I did was log in once with the launcher to link when I started Origins and I did not have to repeat this with Odyssey. Literally just one time setup and never had it pop up again for login.

I read it and in that very long PR Speak where they dodged the question they never said "no launcher" sorry OP, they never uttered the magic words and somehow reddit and a bunch of people spun it as "no ubi launcher"

As for the lite launcher? When you launch a ubi game from steam it launches the full app with store functionality disabled, i assume that's what they meant by "lite" lol

That's from the article. It probably is something similar to how Microsoft goes it. You just have a small or so that you log in and connect. Or it's automatic if is connected to your Steam
