It's not normal, the seasons change every twenty minutes.

It was a bug for some that snow didn't show up. Should been fixed in latest patch.

hopefully thats true i seen people say snow only appears on the north area of the map, i havent played much since the new patch so next time i jump in iam gonna switch seasons and hope winter arrives

Snow should be in the starting area (after the prologue) too. Not been further South so cant say.
