remove ubisoft connect and I'll consider it
I'm done with third party accounts. I'm sick and tired of having to type in user accounts and passwords and waiting for connection, I bought the game, I want to press play and be able to play my single player game within 30 seconds.

That's what Square Enix give us, that's what Sony gave us eventually, that's what Capcom give us, it's not that hard, just have respect for paying customers. As long as third party DRM and Launchers are getting in the way of the paying customer, I will not buy from you any more.

Why did the game launcher get kicked out of the bar?
Because it kept crashing the party.

I mean I honestly don't care what anyone says, Having the mandatory ubisoft launcher requirement is stupid and not necessary for a single player game, Plenty of other single player games are released without needing any kind of extra launcher, hell even sony dropped the PSN requirement for their PC games after the backlash, maybe whats needed is Ubisoft to get more backlash with this release, maybe after their sales tank they will wise up and drop the launcher, though this game feels like its DOA anyway so maybe it will just get heavily discounted as well after a month or so.
I haven't played the ubisoft games I already own in a long long time and I even really like Odyssey and want to play it, but I got so frustrated with the launcher that I'm done with it... so what is the point buying this even on heavy discount? It's just a waste of money if there is the potential for experiencing that kind of frustration.

remember, whilst they may have a minimal launcher NOW, the steam store page states "Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account) " and therefore, that is part of the terms of sale, so that means ubisoft can add a different launcher at any point. If they remove that from the terms of sale, then Ubisoft can at no point require a user account without breaking the sales contract. So it doesn't matter how simple or unobtrusive their connect client might be, it is not guarantee that we will be free from a headache in future.
The only guarantee would be to remove the requirement from the store page.

u mentioned elden ring and steam and i gave u reasons why those r not good example for cheater problems in games.u can come here and ask ubisoft to remove their launcher after ea,blizzard, rockstar and playstation remove their launcher.even in single player games they need data how player interact with the game and which mission or side quests they like most for the future games or dlc.
Man they tell you to bend over and you just accept it. None of these companies need their ♥♥♥♥ launchers involved even to pull data, there's so many ways to set it up without needing to involve a secondary launcher. They force these things so they can harvest user data like emails and other information, so they can further market to you, it's why companies spend so much money for email lists and the like. This also usually makes it easier for them to monitor your hardware and other programs you may be running to pull that, because that information is worth quite a bit for them.
