PS5 vs PC
Hi all, just wanted to have an opinion on getting the game for my PS5 or for PC.

Regarding my PC its pretty beefy:
4080 super
14700kf
64gb ram 6000mhz
NVMe disk 7000mbps
resolution: FHD (I dont feel a need for bigger res)

And the decision:

I do not like to struggle on pc with selecting valid graphics settings to have stable framerate and have best quality (wukong on max was playable, but it had a hickups), stalker2 also has been struggling (dips to 40fps, typically smooth gameplay, max settings only dlss 100%, no framegen). Those hickups do annoy me a lot.

I did played my AC Mirage (i know, its not best comparison, but its the only one because it was cheap so I did not cared) on console since AC Black Flag (all before that were played on x360, all after on PC) and Mirage was looking fine, it did not had any hickups + 4k TV in my bedroom, comfy. But I wonder if the same was in Valhalla, was it smooth on PS5? was it looking nice?

I do not care at all with RTX stuff, but I do care A LOT with framerate and a bit with quality, so....

PS5? PC? give me some opinions

Maybe also 1 more hint, I did played Valhalla on my previous PC (2080TI, 9700k, 32gb mem, ssd 600mbps) and that one was barely working on medium settings, but worked and almost never dropped, and it was fine, so I do have stuff against and towards PC and PS5, so I am not favorizing any of those
Ubisoft games runs pretty well on pc, like Far Cry 6, Avatar or Mirage, we have similar pc you and me and I also had issues with Stalker 2 but I think it's just a badly optimize game overall.

So go PC !

Avatar I also played on PS5 and was very well optimized, but the game was unfun after getting flying mount (would prefer to stick to the ground all the game, but... yea), but FarCry6 was first game that was unplayable on 2080ti (it was ~30-40fps after granades or specific areas of cities, so I've stopped playing it after 5h?), I do have a plan to revisit it as I have a pc that would be able to run it
Usually, console games are optimised decently for their systems. While their PC ports may have optimisation issues for many PC players. Since you have a good system, you should buy it for PC.
Use the Nvidia app to optimize your settings if you don't like doing it yourself. Your rig will have a much better experience than a console.
Valhalla was good on console too yeah.
You have a good PC, so PC is the best option.
But if you don't want to play with setting and RTX, then get it on console, best if you have PS5 Pro that way.

Why would you buy a PC like that to ask questions like this?
