so... 5k players right now, that says a lot
What a beating Expedition 33 gave AC Shadows, a game developed by a former Ubisoft employee. Say what you want, but you can't change the facts.

Goal of latest assassin's Creed clearly was not profit. Goal was political statement. They did 100% succeed their goal of making the game they wanted. Not sure if they ever have cared about what the major audience wants.

I’m not so sure, at the end of the day, Ubisoft is a company that needs its games to sell well. They can’t afford to release something that doesn’t prioritize profitability. Also, it’s not entirely clear that this was “the game the developers wanted to make.” A lot of those creative decisions often come from the top — from the company’s leadership, not the actual dev team.
also making a political statement totally pays the salaries of 25,000 developers. But wait—where’s that money coming from again? Ah yes, our beloved Tencent.
yes 5-10k on steam.
You know there is still Ubisoft?
PS + Xbox?

most ppls i know got the game on ubi and not steam bc you get it cheaper

but some ppls only see what they want ;)
btw: 2 DLCs are already confirmed.
That would be not the case if the game was a big fail.....

also, this MAY come as a surprise, but it's a single player game and some people have actually finished it (for now anyway)

Can you tell the class what was the political statement that they delivered with ACS?

that would be the case if the company was saved by tencent, 50k player to 4k , thats the fact, ¿why would it be different on consoles?

a) BG3 is also multiplayer b) they're rpgs, with multiple ways to play. completely different
will be ignoring any further replies cos you're only interested in arguing in bad faith. why not try playing a game you like? bye now

oh no, i triggered, you im sorry, but you dont know the player base of BG3 , the multiplayer its only a fraction of the players, And Assassin's Creed Shadow is also supposed to be a role-playing game with multiple ways to play, but what happens is that it is inferior to the games I mentioned, even Odyssey has many more positive reviews and half as many players as Shadows, again, these are facts, but I suppose it is "bad faith" to talk about this.

I do think that what another poster mentioned is probably true—that a huge number of people have either already finished the game (myself included), or perhaps even got bored/irritated/etc., and just don’t play as much as they did initially. It makes sense to me that the numbers would be down by now...

Is this your first day on the planet ?
Steam isn´t the only platform for this title.
Also, you do know that single player games are - stay with me - being put aside when you finish them, maybe to play them again weeks/months/years later ?
Well, i guess you may be surprised by a lot of other things too...
