Ubisoft Connect Down??

Is anyone else unable to connect to Ubisoft to launch AC Shadows?

I was just going into the forums to see anybody else had it.

I'm seeing that same error and I can't even get Uplay itself to open...I'm gonna assume they're down.

I did the usual, just to check.
Rebooted my PC
Verified the files integrity in Steam
Tried launching Ubisoft Conncet manually
All failed.........
Maybe one day......Game companies will realize that forcing consumers to have an internet connection to play a single player game is beyond stupid.

It wouldn't be such a problem if the "go offline" actually worked instead of being an endless loop of just not being able to do anything. It kinda defeats the purpose lol

Yes, and when I Googled it I saw multiple websites showing others reporting the server as not working/down.

same here, kinda sad that you cant play a fully purchased single player game because of this. Their severs should only effect the store and cloud saves, not the ability to play the game itself.

aaaaah.........WTF ? At least we aren't the only ones. Steam does post maintenance when their servers are down .

Game doesn't launch for me either...every time I try to start, it just crashes

When I got the error, I clicked the Support link in that window. It linked to a Ubisoft
Support site, but the page said it could not find anything with that topic. Even though, I hadn't selected a topic.
Oh well......that's what I get for paying full price for this game.

are they serious? you cant play their single player game offline? I read a review mentioning this but i thought the guy was a crackpot. It actually doesn't like you play offline...
