HELP

I have Naoe to lvl 15 i have almos all her bottom 1st lvl mastery skills filled..I CANT FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out how to get to lvl 2 masteries..PLEASE help me..I have looked online where i know to look..ANY help would be appreciated

You seek knowledge... points. The orange icons on the map like praying at shrines, finding scrolls at temples, doing Naoe's meditation, etc. Later when you get Yasuke he has Kata and Horse Archery activities. You can also go through the tombs although the first one in Settsu has to be done by Yasuke so that has to wait.

Anyway, once you get enough knowledge points, you advance knowledge level 1 rank and the next row of skills becomes available. Sometimes individual skills will also stay locked behind certain quests being completed. It will either tell you what quest to complete or it will just say "progress the story" which means just keep doing main central quest ring until you get the quest you need.

If you look on the left side of the Mastery screen it says what your current knowledge rank is and how many knowledge points you still have to collect to get to the next rank.
