So every message out there about sell, obviously a lie.
They need to lower the price to 40 EUR ..
The game was designed to keep people in and make them spend money INSIDE the game .. having high price tag is just hurting business.
Hell, even D4 was so bad that they made only 150 millions in 17 months.
Sales? Whatevs.
I also eventually stopped comparing things just because they have the same name. I find enjoyment in more things by taking each thing on its own, each thing new to me rather than what's different this time. For me, only direct sequels get any comparisons by being a continuation of the prior.
Really? Didn't notice it. Although I haven't had time to play with it in the past week or so.
their sales are doing very well. did they make a profit i dont know. doesnt really matter, it will stay on steam, on the consoles and on their own service for a long time and at some point become profitable. the other games in the series are still sellling. i bought most of them in a sale a while back.
point is, they play the long game.
Board members don't like playing the long game, investors do so long as the the expected yield is met which was not and we know it wasn't by all of the correspondence from the dev team, and very obvious by the movement of it's shares. So it doesn't matter what it makes 10 years from now the expectation was not met and the expected return on investment within the foretasted time line was also not met. And while it may have been a mediocre game or even somewhat above average it was no where near enough to stave off the impending issues the company was facing and thus here we are with Tencent and the shuttering of parts of the company as it restructures.
Well said! 👏🏼
No they dont, if it was a success they wouldnt have let Tencent grab 25% of their shares in the IPs they want for 1.25 billion to pay off debt. Tencent saved them from going extinct, if Tencent didnt get involved Ubisoft would have been history. Can you cope any harder ? ;P
With that said the AC ip hasn't really had me this hooked since Odyssey. I'm pretty sure even the older AC games didn't keep me playing for over 100 hours. I'm not surprised it sold well, it's a known IP even if the IP has been going downhill for a while probably from just too many games within the same IP. And even within the context of the IP it's one of the better ones.
Lastly you guys that want to game to fail because black man is samurai , stop letting influencers melt your brain. Criticize the game for its actual issues. Not because you're a bigot.
Over the past 30 days they went down 32% from 13.3 eur to 9.06 eur
