Mind you while there are legitimate reasons where game play is concerned. Their most likely motivator for this mechanic limitation. Is that they run a cash shop for in game resourced. It would cut into their profits if you controlled the clock. You'd have very little in the way of a need to buy resources, money, or items. If you could sit in the same dungeon, and create a repeatable speed run.
