Anyone Know a Mod or Easier Way to reveal the Map?
I have over 24 hours in the game now and a large chunk of that was just using the horse to scale impossible terrain so I could reveal the map of the first region. Trying to reveal the map is awful and the viewpoints barely reveal anything. I was considering starting over because I picked canon mode but found out I miss side content doing so. But I don't want to have to go through revealing the map again.

You've discovered why unlocking the map is a paid microtransaction in the store lol. It's intentionally designed to be annoying, slow, and unituitive to entice you to buy the map reveal, despite already having paid full price for the game.
You can use spies to reveal the map, and over at maps.piggyback.com is a free map available but the zoom levels are very limited (the full map function can only be used.... when buying the book and getting a code...)

Oh yes and the map icons locked behind a paywall in the store.

Ignore him ..
Ubisoft cant do a thing about modding ..

I am using mods to remove many annoying stuff in the game, like the outlines on you, on enemies, grey combat visuals, skip intro and so much more ..

Play smart, dont pay

Dont worry, playing as a completionist is tiresome anyway. Just go for targets on the board, discover stuff on your way to them

i tried to use scouts but i'm not just talking about like vendors or activities i'm talking about removing all the fog. and I looked into the map pack and it looks like it doesn't remove fog so its even more worthless.

Using the horse is a mistake. It's not practical for removing the fog of war due to the terrain obstacles.

The cinematic viewpoints reveal all of the key locations. Running to those locations will reveal the minor stuff.

You don't need a horse in this game. I've used Naoe to remove the fog of war on five provinces. Currently working on my sixth. She runs like Usain Bolt. She can jump and climb. Horses can't do that.

She's the most efficient explorer in the game. 135 hours and nearly six provinces complete. Never called my horse once.

Only Wakasa, Tamba, and Harima remain.

no idea who Yves is but if they want to lose customers by adding more anti consumer practices thats on them, if people want to mod a game they will regardless of any "rules" using mods is a bannable offense in FF14 and yet i still got a good 40 or so installed

I bought the singleplayer game I should be able to mod the singleplayer game. A dev is welcome to come in here and say if they are at least looking at making it so getting rid of the Fog isn't such a massive ball-ache. Maybe they could be kind enough to give a console command.

Remember when he said atleast 93% of PC gamers are thieves?.. I do.
not sure what them calling pc gamers thieves has to do with modding
if you want to follow the rules then you do you i will continue to mod my games like i have been for the last 20 years

to answer the OP no fog removal mod exists yet that i can find, theres not many mods for the game yet even trainers have limited options, valhalla has a fog remover mod so this game will probably have one too given time

Thank you friend I will eagerly await that mod and if it doesn't show up before summer I will at least have taken enough time to do other things first.
