how to conquer castles ??

Why can i not conquer any enemy bases and castles ? Am i missing something ?

Go in stealth, clear a few heads to gain a foothold.

Knock out the bell towers, or you'll be in trouble with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Then go nuts. Mow down everyone until you kill every last one of them.

Loot everything that isn't nailed down.

The legendary chest will be available once the main guards are killed.

On your map, the castle will be marked as completed.

Actually you need to kill only those samurai daisho enemies to access the legendary chest and mark the castle as completed. However I don't think it is possible to "conquer" castles. Enemies will be back if you travel there later.

Unless by "conquer" they meant taking over the castle. That doesn't happen. Enemies will respawn there even after the castle is marked "complete" on the map. So will salvage resources, so you can revisit the storage and other buildings to pick those up again for your base building.

You cannot conquer anything in Shadows, Naoe and her friends are not Tokugawa who united Japan under his rule.

What do you mean by "conquer"? The goal of the castles is to obtain the Legendary loot, and resources to build up your hideout. The biggest pain, in my opinion, is just locating the Samurai Daisho guys. If you focus and zoom in, they will appear as white dots in the distance, but so do some treasures so sometimes you end up running in circles trying to find them. After you eliminate all Daisho and obtain the treasure, the Castle is marked complete, but you can always return after each season to loot more supplies, although they will be fewer.

Yeah, just not the samurai daisho, those remain dead. The castles are just to obtain loot and hideout resources as said above, you don't get to actually conquer them since lore-wise you're just part of a hidden organization acting from the shadows and all.
