Away from joking (was still most important)
Like others say do personals quests for Yasuke Naoe and Junjiro. You will like the rewards too that come along like hideout cosmetics, skills and gear. Also make sure to get the other allies.
I also recommend doing Yasuke samurai board as the Katana you get is awesome and so is its ending.
It's times like this I realise how completionist I can be....
Yeah I know what you mean, every time I think I'm making progress a new circle of people I have to assassinate pops up and I'm sidetracked from the main quest again ...... Naoe's Kusarigama is just so much fun to master. Between long distance assassination with the Kusarigama and the assassinate second guy with a Kunai engraving I'm just clearing areas without breaking a sweat. It's the most assassin type combat in an AC game for quite some time, maybe the best of the series since it has none of the wonkiness of the old games with the pull a trigger to run nonsense, Triggers are for weapons not movement
There are so many good side-quests :D i finished 4 or 5 from Shunbakufu after 35hours.
Exploring and side-quests are fun! (not all... but for me most of them)
