AC Shadows Pink / Black Screen: Possible Fix

I have tried myriads of solutions in order to get the game running on my side. Nothing worked until I did this:

Preparation:

Download Special K:

Download Assassin's Creed Shadows - Config and Light DiY on Nexus Mod

Workflow:

Delete / Move your config

- Delete or move your ACShadows.ini
Path: .../Documents/Assassin´s Creed Shadows

Install Special K > Launch Special K > Add Assassin´s Creed Shadows in the Special K Library ( For Uplay+ Users: Choose the ACShadows_Plus.exe instead of ACShadows.exe )

Open the Config and Light DiY Mod

Extract the nvngx_dlss.dll + nvngx_dlssg.dll from the "DLSS dlls" folder into your Assassin´s Creed Shadow "production" folder:
...\Assassin's Creed Shadows\NVStreamline\production

(backup the original files by renaming them or moving them elsewhere)


Open Special K and run the game from there. The game should run now and you are also able to configure the DLSS and other Settings to adjust everything according to your system´s performance.

Why changing the frame gen file? The newest one is from AC Shadows (310.2.1)

I didn't have any files in the folder where they should be. This workflow worked for me as only solution. I ve been at it since yesterday, tried everything that was online available, no help.

On my first installation I had the game installed Gen files where they should be and it didn't work. I later installed the game on another HD.

Using special K only, didn't work for me either. Now it's running on 50 fps on high stable and I can watch the video scenes, that was never possible for me.

But, I wrote that the original files should be backuped, just in case.

I just hope that this helps at least some people, it sucks when u love to play a game and can't.

Not having the files is weird... Bad install maybe? Anyway, glad it's working for you now.
I should add, for DLSS super resolution, keep it at the default preset (E). The new transformer model (J,K) adds a lot of ghosting and weird visual glitches.

Yeah it was definitely weird, you are right 😊 I'm using the E preset as well, as it gave me the best performance. Thanks for the additional infos. We as a community will always find ways to solve such issues. I hope Ubisoft is riding the patch train in the coming weeks ✌🏽
