Can you clear castles and something like take control over areas in this game ?

Some feature I never understood why they didn't do it anymore is this whole clear outpost stuff, I always loved it, give me 200 outposts and give me targest what I have to do to control them.
I think odyssey did it the best way.
Because I didn't found anything about it here but can you like control and clear outposts like that in shadows ? or is it just enemy areas and when you clear it they respawn like 30 minutes later again ? because I really don't like a system like that, let me free some areas

they respawn after a while.. if you live the area or if the season change, I think.. not quite sure about conditions...

Odyssey only gave you the illusion of controlling an area and within about an hour of game time it will likely flip back all by itself.

I think It's leaving the area. I left to change as Yasuke and came back to move something for Naoe and they were all respawned.

From a historical perspective it would make no sense at all for Naoe to ever "control" large parts of Japan. it was only Tokugawa a few years later who seized control over all of Japan. So all the castles you clear will always have new enemies eventually, with one difference: the Samurai Daimyo, the ones you need to kill to be able to open the main loot chest, do not respawn, so that chest and the Samurai are gone, everything else respawns and even the normal chests will have new loot eventually.

And in Odyssey everything respawned as well and the AI would take over regions all over again, you never truly controlled anything here.
