Idk I like using Yasuke
I go back and forth between the two. Frankly, I really enjoy using both for different situations.

Naoe's obviously the Shinobi, fast and stealthy and when you have the right build she can do anything.

Yasuke's heavy and packs a lot of momentum. The very meta rejects you even trying to use him to full stealth, yet he shines in breaking postures and stances in open combat no problem.

He's also really really fun with ranged combat. The teppo and bow and arrow make for really nice additions to an already juggernaut of a player character

I think it's awesome that we got both a shinobi AND a samurai variant in the game. More options, more choices for the player. Accessibility and all that

So use him. You own the game, play it like you want to. Don't worry about proving your point on here. People will believe what they want to believe.
Little bit of banter never hurt nobody
i fully agree to OP. i would be bored with the game if there was only the stealth gameplay of Naoe. despite all the critics, i'd say it's a great addition to the gameplay to be able to switch between the two playstyles....

They are both fun to be honest, but I prefer using Yasuke over Naoe.
I just happen to like Samurai more than Ninja.
And I prefer the Samurai Armor over Ninja Garbs.

I'm somewhere in the middle area but I lean to Naoe more. I don't really dislike either and sometimes the change in pace is fun.

Yeah, Yasuke plus the armor that let's you parry red attacks is unstoppable. The you can use the health on death thing and he becomes a machine. I clear castles really fast with him.

He's the worst video game character I ever seen.

Super slow
Can barely climb
Can't jump to save his life.
Can barely dodge.

Throw in 1 Teppo or Archer into a fight with melee enemies, and Yasuke is a sitting duck.

Naoe is so fast, flexible, and nimble that she almost feels like HAAAX in relation to Yasuke gameplay. Those Teppo and Archers don't stand a chance against Naoe.

Somehow all of his accolades end up making that package worth it for me

It is BS, in the first Assassin's Creed we plaied Altair during the Animus sequences cause Desmond was his descendant and therefor had access to Altair's memmories stored in his DNA.
In Syndicate we were able to play both of the Frye twins cause their DNA was basically the same. In Shadows we are able to swap between african and japanese memmories because its woke BS!

I wished it was still the one protagonist system they had for Odyssey and Valhalla and we choose gender instead like before.

Its really jarring to have to pick between these 2, i dont like either of them as i feel forced into a playstyle I have no choice in committing to.

I mean at this point just give us a character creator in all honesty so we can play whoever the hell we want.
I like the challenge of using him. Naoe's advantages make the game too easy after a while. X-Ray Eagle vision, letting her see through walls. Air assassinations from the rooftops. Being able to drag enemies to a safe spot before dealing with them. She has so many more gameplay advantages that Yasuke simply doesn't have, that for me the challenge of using Yasuke and his limitations spices up the game.

He does feel like a tank, but only when dealing with a few enemies at a time. When surrounded, especially with Samurai commanders calling in explosive arrow strikes, things can get dicey for him rather quickly. I think it's fun to switch back and forth to play to each character's strengths.

Reminds me of Jacob and Evie Frye, where Jacob was a much better fighter, while Evie was unparalleled at stealth.

OMG you dont feel tanky with Yasuke? Then kill someone to get a heal for free and you know what, just kill the Samurai commanders first before they call in the explosive arrow strikes. Literally the only mechanic they have if thats threatening you then you probably didnt even encounter a single mercenarie in Odyssey!

It was communicated to you in Odyssey that the reason we have two different lives is because of static background noise in the animus associating different DNA strands. Shadows proves the ties aren't just genetic.

Which makes sense, considering the only reason we learned of Kassandra and Alexios' lives is because of a spear head covered in their blood.

Be scientific man
Oh, I'm sorry. Did my personal preferences set you off? I forgot that its always such a big deal whenever someone likes something that you don't like. If all the world isn't just like the next person, that's like a crime these days.

I DO feel tanky with Yasuke. It was literally the first sentence of my second paragraph, albeit with a few enemies at a time.

You're right.

I never played Odyssey.

I plan to, after enjoying Shadows too much. And now you've spoiled it.

Right? The only time I ever had to reload a game when playing Yasuke wasn't even a death, was because I let enemies call reinforcements and a thing I wanted to interact with but could only while anonymous was in a place where the reinforcements would spot me on arrival, so I reloaded just to not have to do that again later. Have yet to die with Yasuke on Expert, and I don't even bother keeping his gear up to level since he's a juggernaut even with gear 10 levels below enemies.
