Report a translation problem
Its been mentioned a few times on these steam discussions, as well on Ubisoft bug reporter, so you can confirm you encountered this issue there so hopefully it gets fixed. These are the links I found with people experiencing similar issues:

1. Delete the save games including the files in app data folder.
2.Install a firewall app blocker and block ubisoft folder.
3. Start a new game in offline mode till you reach a point where you can manually save.
4. Save your game then quit the game
5. Now unblock ubisoft and you will see an option to delete the old save when you login(in my case both were named manual save 1. overwrite on your cloud logo save)
It worked for me hope it helps.
