No, malwarebytes is slowing down your computer because you intentionally installed and run it analyse files and apps in memory, it's using the required resources to do that. That's like saying a game is malware because it's heavily using CPU/RAM/GPU resources to run.

In the case of the denuvo trojan the legitimate application you installed is the game but it piggybacks that install. When you run the game it discretely executes in the background with elevated privileges. The user's intent is to play the game, NOT run denuvo but it starts anyway and degrades the experience.

Denuvo is part of the game, thats simply how it is. It isn’t a malicious software, it is not malware.

In case you need a little reminder: “ Malware is any software intentionally designed to cause disruption to a computer, server, client, or computer network, leak private information, gain unauthorized access to information or systems, deprive access to information, or which unknowingly interferes with the user's computer security and privacy.”

Denuvo is none of those things.

That is like calling ray tracing “malware” because all you wanted to do was play the game without ray tracing…

At best you could call it bloatware, but even that is technically also not true.

No one is forcing you to waste your time on anything. If you think the discussion is a waste of time no one is forcing you to read it or interact with it at all.
