Gameplay is nothing to write home about, but truly the only thing making it bad is... writing. You know, "modern audience" one you probably love so much.
Or can you tell why it was bad for you if not writing?
Well the OP stated the last 100 games where all white which is not true. But lets take a look what would be a good game with a Black protagonist released in the last two years would be Alan Wake 2.
But really, any argument that is, "Well, what about this ONE game." isn't an amazing look. We're basically just telling the OP, "Yeah, very few AAA games come out with black protagonists, because we can quickly name the last several years' worth of them individually in post.
