was it tho
The funny thing is, Oblivion remaster just came out and it practically ROLLED the AC shadows and DA Veilguard COMBINED in player numbers on steam.
Keep in mind, Bethesda also has their own shop, and the game is on the gamepass.
Yeah well, so is supposed generational success of AC: Shadows, isnt it?
Just pointing out that the argument of being on a different platforms is not as bulletproof as many people trying to make it here.
There is the case of a different platforms, yes. But if the game is a massive success, it should be successful across all platforms.
Oh and yeah, it didn't have any marketing or promotional campaigns. Hell, didn't even had a release date for a while. Still rolled them both.
Sorry for being mean, but there were no new Elders scrolls games in like what, decade? It is NOT a mainstream game, unlike AC.
Nostalgic? Sure. But its now far less of a franchise than AC.
Second best performing day 1 sales isnt that much of an indication. So is the last metric of 3 million players. Even counting it as copies, that isnt a lot.
And then again, the Oblivion remaster had 0 marketing. It just popped up in stores just like that. And popped off immensely.
