🎉 AC SHADOWS IS ONE OF 2025’S BEST SELLING GAMES SO FAR
According to the 2025 video game retail sales data and Circana industry analyst Mat Piscatella, Assassin’s Creed Shadows already ranks among the top five of best-selling games year-to-date. Among the top five of games sold since the start of 2025 are Monster Hunter Wilds, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Civilization 7, according to the February data.

In addition to its top five placing for the year so far, Assassin’s Creed Shadows also has the second highest week one dollar sales of any 2025 game, behind only Monster Hunter Wilds.

Yves officially said that the little delay cost 20m in itself, we don't add that.

The 400m is a lower range estimate, it could be as high as 550m. But 400m is such a low estimate that its a good argue point.

350-400 including marketing is pretty likely.

Valhalla was 160-175 million (no idea if that includes marketing)

Odyssey was reportedly half a billion including marketing. The most expensive of the series to date.

And the $20m+ delay cost too

Nope. Need to see how many copies/units sold. Not only do we have UBISOFT+, but you can litterally play this game for 100% free of charge through a 3 month free trial of Gamefly.

It will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious when in one or two months the sales numbers get disclosed and it turns out the game indeed sold amazingly well to the surprise of no normal person.

Sure, but we know that wont happen as Ubisoft stopped disclosing sale numbers when the company started going into ♥♥♥♥ with its investors and shareholders.

Then why are we waiting after more than 1 week for UBISOFT to celebrate by announcing bonuses and free late's for their employees? Instead they may be about to announce layoffs instead.

Im just saying...

Capcom had no issues celebrating their sales/copies sold after 3 days in their posts
It's unplayable on 7700x 7900xt with 32gb ram on a m.2 drive. Must need Nvidia I'm assuming to have a good experience. Getting a refund now. Worst game of 2025 in my case.

They've been doing this since way before that though, Valhalla's numbers were handled the same way.

Strange. Though i did find that was during the allegations of workplace misconduct and abuse, leading to the resignation of several leaders and a subsequent restructuring of the company's leadership and the blockchain announcement for Breakpoint.

But probably not related, thankyou for the insight.

But it isn't?

When journalists and gamers ask for the sales number of sold units, Ubisoft refuses to respond. All they say is that they have 3 million players PLAYING rather than how many sold copies.

Key words here. Dragon Age: Veilguard did the same thing and we all know how that turned out.

Its coming to the realisation that if youre not proud of your achievements, you dont announce them

Probably cause the company is still in the red, one single game couldn't realistically make up for two years worth of failed projects that made Ubisoft bleed money. I'm happier for the devs rather than Ubisoft's higher ups, it must have been stressful for these people to work under a company that's already known for its abusive treatment of employees and also having to deal with a loud minority of people obsessively talking ♥♥♥♥ about their work on the internet, they deserve some good news after all this trouble.

Nah, EA was completely silent about Veilguard's launch while Ubisoft has been celebrating AC Shadows' since day one.
