Sales are so good and the "game reviews is so high" that Ubisoft is selling to China
Another big L from lefties, who is surprised that modern audiences don't play what they advertise:steamsalty:

You'll have the usual suspects explaining how that's actually a good thing for Ubisoft.

Just wait.

I imagine it's a lot better than not getting a bunch of new outside investment, but sure, there's no way Ubisoft would have spun off a subsidiary for their top brands and sold a bunch of it to outside investors if they hadn't put themselves in a position where they needed to do that to stay afloat.

Trying to spin this as a response to Shadows' sales performance is ridiculous though. The game was barely a week old when they announced the deal. This had to have been in the works before Shadows even launched, and there's no way one game was going to fix Ubisoft's problems if a several billion-dollar subsidiary was the solution.
This is the consequence of several years of mismanagement.

I think that is perfecty fine tbh.
It is fine to debate statistics and finances, even the current recosntruction of Ubisoft. But at the end of the day, what matters is that those that did buy the game have fun with it.
Good christ, you people are STILL making threads like this on Steam forums?

It's like some of you don't even play video games at all.

It IS weird how much focus gamers are putting on the financial performance of specific games these days. I guess, when you don't actually know very much about a game, but you still want to **** on it, you have to find other ways to "prove" it's bad. : p

I agree. I just hate that these pointless debates dominate the forums.

Decades. Ubisoft has been walking a tighttope since at least the early 2000s.

and i see we have the usual suspects, who dont play this game, will never play this game, have no interest in this game, and apparently dont have any games that they are interested in, otherwise they would be on the forums for those games they do enjoy instead of trolling us here.
go play elden ring or wukong or whatever you enjoy. go talk to other people who enjoy those games on the forums for those games. there are plenty of games, more games than any gamer can ever fully grok. there are a million places you could be right now.
you make the choice, over and over and over again, to come here and post troll comments.

Bold assumption to assume that they actually play games and not just ♥♥♥♥♥ about them on their YouTube channels.

Still? Spinning assumptions about sales figures and financial performance is THE #1 way to use Steam forums anymore. Who talks about the games these days? It's way more important to push your preferred political narrative.
