NPC Talk bug?

I'm seeing more and more occasions where I approach a vendor where you can press F to talk to them but pressing F does nothing. The only fix is to save and then reload.

Other bugs include weapon customisation where any attempt to customise the various parts of a Katana results in the Katana on your back now showing as unsheathed from the Saya. Then you have the constant exclamation mark icon in your Inventory showing there's a new item, even though you can go through all of Naoe's and Yasuke's equipment slots and there's nothing new there. Just playing the game reveals these bugs. It's not as though they are really obscure issues that are hard to replicate, leaving you wondering if Ubisoft even has a QA play testing department at all in it's game development pipeline.

They sure are taking their time releasing a meaningful patch to fix these glaringly obvious problems that should never make it into a retail release.
