if you're going to do this, you really ought to put a speed up time function back in the game

i, personally, do actually have all the time in the world, but plenty of people don't, and waiting is still tedious

I sat and waited while I browsed on my phone. It was kinda dumb.

I was playing Valhalla again last night, and I wanted it to be day time so I could take a screenshot. I simply opened my utility menu and selected "Meditate".

I said it before and I'll say it again. Assassin's Creed Shadows is several steps backwards and suffers from an extreme drop in quality compared to the other Assassin's Creed games.

How about the 'winter' quests? If you are unlucky you are at Spring and have to wait 7.5 hours to do them. Or you get lucky and find the target while exploring the map

I am very much enjoying Shadows but them removing the ability to pass the time and the ability for your horse to automatically go to the destination via roads and paths was just bad decisions in my opinion.

You can skip the season in the map menu.

There's an option in the map menu to instantly end/advance the season, it's near the top right below where the smuggling info will be

I hear you can only advance the seasons if it is in the last 2 of the 8 stages of the season.

The day night one I miss, but the seasons doesn't bother me tbh. I kind of enjoy that some things are attached to specific seasons, and if I'm in the wrong season I just go do other stuff.
Something to forward time from day to night should really be in the game. They have had it in every since origins

You can skip the season in the map menu.

Only when the season is over. When the season is over, you can change it in the map, or it will change on the next quick travel, or cutscene.

You cannot change the season on demand

definitely some player QoL stuff missing in this one, but overall I'm still super enjoying it
