I have insane problem with this too .. and not just that.
The fake light on characters during cutscenes too
No shadows indoor
No shadows from outdoor light sources etc
Nights in all these AC games should be definitely darker
Seriously broken.... again
Looking at the comparison screens from OP's link, the "dark night(concept)" ones look cool but a bit too dark.
You an always decrease the lighting or gamma to make the game more dark.
So people who prefer to play at night like in full day light, just bluish, will be happy too...
Not to mention the interesting mechanics that can be introduced with reduced night vision related to torchlights, spots of light and things like that...
Daytime in these AC games is gorgeous since Origins, but these fake-nights in full bluish light are so immersion-breaking...
Jesus.... 🤮
See first msg, the CONCEPT correction examples. Vanilla night light is so horribly fake and unrealistic like no other game unfortunately (daylight is gorgeous instead).
It's always been an issue with the ACs, sigh...
