No, Ubisoft is not being absorbed by Tencent
Ubisoft created a new studio using some of their talent, and controlling stake in that subsidiary will be owned by Tencent. The parent company, Ubisoft, is still majority owned by the Guillemot family, followed closely by French company Ubisoft Entertainment SA (in other words, the company itself).

I know what you are doing extremely well. You are performing ad hominem, personal attack. The usual tactic.
You are doing what you always seem to do.

Completely misrepresent what is going on and being dismissive of arguments you don’t or aren’t willing to understand.
Another ad hominem, why am I not surprised in a slightest?

Not even that. Tencent investing in an Ubisoft subsidiary (something you do with SUCCESSFUL companies) while Ubisoft gives nothing and maintains control of everything is further evidence that Shadows is doing well.

How's the ban little bro?

That wasn't ad hom and you just proved Dagtag right.

A lot of mental gymnastics going on here, but a subsidiary was set up which Tencent control and it includes the Assassins Creed franchise along with others. Ubisoft will take a percentage profit from these games.

25% is the beginning of a hostile takeover while Ubi is limping and rife with failure. Tencent wants to be the first ones who get the opportunity to buy them outright when the time comes.
You aren’t the business expert you like to think you are.
Tencent has right of first refusal on any sales of the three IP or sale of a further percentage of the subsidiary.

What does that tell you about the future if Ubisoft stumbles?

Other way around. Tencent is investing in Ubisoft and Ubisoft has full control.

This pretty much sums it up. Anyone who is watching Tencent's movements in the industry can see what they are doing.

Stopped reading once you started with misinformation

Ubisoft controls it
Tencent just has a financial stake in it

Other way around. Tencent is investing in Ubisoft, basically throwing money at them. Ubisoft has full control. It's a sign of confidence in Ubisoft given that the whole sale rumor fell through.

So why isnt Nintendo just selling 25% of their IPs and collecting checks?
You know why, this isnt something people wanna do unless they are desperate for money.
Now on the flip side, this means tencent might actually think things can be turned around -if they are involved.
But for anyone taking this anything beside that Ubi Soft was in trouble is just spinning it for their own biases.

Wrong
Literally factually true.

I think their new tactic is

Ignore Facts
Try to Twist Narratives

(I say new but it's really just the same thing different day)

Like they can try to lie all they want but the medias, influencers, and reports are all reporting what's actually happening.

I literally got assassins creed shadow advertised on youtube and on my ps5 for ubi soft + and regular copy - and I keep seeing people on youtube and twitter making post about it and getting early copies, ubi soft definitely "spent money".

Imagine getting this riled up over Ubisoft finding an investor and securing a future for its biggest titles.

Must suck to know you lost. Or something. :(
It's really weird how much effort gamers today are putting into convincing themselves a game's financial performance was good or bad. Most of this board is people who don't own this game trying to argue about its sales numbers. They don't seem to care about the game, just the sales and player numbers. The part that doesn't impact gamers at all.
