However, if your a completionist, and you loot everything that isn't nailed down, you shouldn't have any problems. I loot everything, but Yasuke's upgrades have still broken my bank a couple of times. And I don't even use him.
I only keep him upgraded in case of emergencies. For when they force us to do a quest with him.
Once all of your buildings at the hideout are maxed, you only need the loot for gear upgrades. Particularly Yasuke's.
Solution to grinds and paywalls are cheats .. save money and time and just enjoy the game
Hell, by the time you get max scouts and all the upgrades that make sure you smuggle more resources, you no longer need them...
Still enjoying the game, but it seems like a waste to have entire systems built around a resource economy that is only useful for a small fraction of a playthrough.
Ironically, you aren't getting all the scouts until practically 40+ anyhow. THere's more than 5. But ,yes, by then it's basically finished if you've been smugglnig castle stashes regularly.
