On the hardest settings I still refuse to select abilities, or use allies.
In fact, there are ways to do more damage for not gearing up and using abilities. Not just your method.
Games like these you have to handicap yourself to make it more challenging because once you fill a skill tree, it's game over.
I thought it was challenging early, with the Tanto, but once you learn how to use the Kusarigama, nothing can touch you. With that weapon you are great at both ranged and melee.
You can walk around without any gear and obliterate the planet. No skills, no allies, no gear necessary. Just an upgraded Kusarigama.
There are buffs for doing that, too.
Crazy.
This is mainly for ppl like me who like to min-max in these games
