Low GPU power consumption (5090+9800x3D)
Does anyone else have their gpu at (or close to) 99% usage, while using way less than the expected power? My 5090 is not drawing more than 350w, regardless of settings and resolution.

It could be a fault of the program reading the wattage wrong.

Temps are in line with lower wattage.

Are you hitting your monitor fps cap?

No. Been testing with native resolution and RT, just to make sure I'm pushing the card as hard as possible.

This only happens with AC:S, other games run as expected.
Might be heat? GPU will throttle, reduce the core clock and use less power to reduce heat if it needs to. Most start doing it between 70-80C.

Does it have an impact on framerate?

What reolution? Framegen on or of? is your framerate similar to benchmarks? unless your performance is lower i wouldnt worry about it

5090 Vanguard (with a undervolt/OC) at 0.9v. GPU doesn't go above 48 degrees in AC shadows.

Frame rate is in line with other benchmarks, but I think it's part of the issue (that cards aren't being fully utilized despite the 99% reported usage). https://www.dsogaming.com/news/assassins-creed-shadows-suffers-from-major-optimization-issues-on-nvidia-gpus/
Have you tried going into the Nvidia App and set the power management for the game to Prefer maximum performance.

Do you use dlss, rtx, frame gen?
There are multiple modules in GPU that can consume power. I dont think there is a problem, if it is in 99% usage.

Thats how its supposed to be, different software pushes different parts of the GPU and the 4 nm process it is built on is efficient. Dont worry about it
